Our church together with a number of partners is helping a community in Kontha to build a primary school.

Our next steps are:
(1) building toilets, completing outstanding works on the school building, and providing basic school furniture - $8000 - funds have been raised
(2) Building the well to provide clean drinking water - $5000 -funds have been raised
(3) Installing solar panels to provide electricity and internet connection - $5000
(4) Helping to create a school library, providing textbooks, and all necessary school supplies
(5) Providing school uniforms (2 sets for 200 kids) - $5000
(6) helping to pay salaries for 5 teachers. Approx. $21000 p.a.
(7) helping to start and maintain sports programs, basic computer literacy classes, and some other programs that will benefit the community.

Great news: we have raised $3,355, which has unlocked the $3,000 matching funds, thus step II (water-well) has been fully funded, and $1,355 have been raised towards the goal of $5,000 of step III (solar light). Thanks for all your donations!
