Our 2025 Summer Students

Leo (Duy) Nguyen

Hello everyone, my name is Duy Nguyen-Leo. I am a second-year student at NSCC- Nova Scotia

Community College. In terms of my spiritual journey, I had experience in playing piano during

the worship service time at TVAC- Toronto Vietnamese Alliance church, then also involved in

the worship assistant at the Nova Pentecostal church in Nova Scotia. After that, I came to join

the role of the piano worship player at the West End Baptist Church. With the bonus, I was a

Christian for my whole life since I was young and was baptized at the age of 11. Talking about

my dream, I would like to become a worship leader in the future, not only to lead the church in

music, but bring people back to Christ with the grace. In the summer ahead, I will take on the

position of Music Worship coordinator; hence it will be the great opportunity for me to meet

and know more people in the worship team in the same-Christ based belief and, at the same

time, gain more experience in this type of field; resulting in giving back contributions to the

West End church. In addition, I have attached my picture below so everyone has the chance to

know and understand more about me.

Zak (Isaac) Hsia

Hi, I’m Zak and I’m currently a third-year Engineering student at Dalhousie University. For the past two summers, I’ve worked as a Senior Cabin Leader at Bayside Camp, where I keep children alive and make sure they have a good time. On top of that, I volunteer at Deepwater Church as a Sunday School helper during the school terms. I love doing the bidding of the Living Lord and stacking heavenly treasures for the world beyond.
